The press and Internet journalism chair is one of the oldest at university and in general in system of the higher journalistic formation in Kazakhstan. On chair worked - the founder of the domestic journalistic formation, one of original authors of textbooks on stories of the Kazakh journalism, the doctor of historical sciences, professor K.N.Bekhozhin.
The big achievement of chair considers what on this chair the head of school of thought on research of satirical journalism, the Doctor of Philology the professor Since Kozhakeev worked.
Pupils of chair are nowadays known scientists and public figures – Doctors of Philology Bauyrzhan of Lobsters, Amantaj Sharipov, Bauyrzhan Zhakyp, etc.
Among workers of chair there are owners of the Grant of the Ministry of Education and Science of Republic Kazakhstan. He/she is the Doctor of Philology, professor S.I.Nurgozhina and the doctor филологическихъ sciences, professor B.O.Zhakyp.
