As a result ofTedQual-UNWTO audit the Undergraduate Education Program "Tourism" implemented by the Department of Recreation Geography and Tourism, Al Farabi KazNU, is certified for a maximum period - 4 years (October, 25, 2012 - October 25, 2016).

S.R. Erdavletov, Professor, Doctor of Geography, Honorary Member of the International Public Academy of Tourism, member of the International Cartographic Association. He has the title of: " Excellence of the USSR High School", 1984; "The Best Teacher of Al-Farabi KazNU," 2009; "Honored Worker of Tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan", 2002; "Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan", 2011. The Cavalier «For Merits in Development of Tourism in the Republic of Kazakhstan." He was awarded the Jubilee Medal "10 years of Astana", 2008; the Baytursynov's Silver Medal, 2011.
