Galiya Akhmetvalievna Movkebayeva. Doctor of Historical Sciences. The 2007 ‘The Best University Instructor’ grant holder. After graduating from al-Farabi KazNU, G. A. Movkebayeva.has been teaching the University since 1988. Since 1998, G.A. Movkebayeva has been working in the Department of International Relations of al-Farabi KazNU. G.A. Movkebayeva was deputy dean of the department of International Relations from 1999 to 2003. She is one of the leading lecturers of the Department. Movkebayeva G.A. has done research internship training in the Federal Republic of Germany and Hungary. She participated in a number of national and international conferences on international relations – in Moscow, 2002; Paris, 2003; Hamburg, 2008. She has over 50 publications on international relations; foreign policy of the RK and foreign policy of the European Union. G.A. Movkebayeva underwent professional and research trainings in Germany within DAAD program in 1993 – 1995, 2001, 2008. G.A. Movkebayeva visited CEU in 1997 for conducting research and on Conflict management and resolution Central Asia sponsored by the UN in 2002 in Budapest. G.A. Movkebayeva participated in a number of national and international conferences on the contemporary issues of international relations in Russia, Hungary, France, Germany, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. G.A. Movkebayeva maintains close cooperation with international foundations and organizations such as K.Adenauer Fund, DAAD, and Media-net and has been a member of the selection Commission of DAAD since 2008. G.A. Movkebayeva is participating in the K.Adenauer Fund International Project on “Democratization of Central Asian Societies: Challenges and Perspectives”. She is the author of over than 50 publication on international relations, foreign policy of the RK and the EU. In 2009 she successfully defended Doctoral Thesis.
   
 

Bayzakova Kuralai Irtysovna has been a teacher since 1984 firstly of the Department of General History, then - the Chair of International Relations and Foreign Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan since 1992.

In 1985, K.I. Bayzakova defended her thesis at the V.I. Lenin Tashkent State University on the theme "The M. Debe’s "strong state" concept and the problem of constitutional reform in France in the 40-50's of XX century", specialty 07.00.03 - universal history. In 2003 She defended her thesis for the degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences on the theme "Evolution of the Constitutional Doctrine of Gaullism: Political and Foreign Policy Aspects" in the following specialties: 07.00.03 - General History, 07.00.15 - History of International Relations and Foreign Policy. In 2005 she received the academic title of professor.

Since 2002, Bayzakova has been the director of the European Information Center. Since 2004 she is one of the coordinators of the annual Summer School for young teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates of Kazakhstan and Central Asian universities. In 2006 the first in Central Asia Resource and Information Center of NATO was opened at the Faculty of International Relations on the initiative of K.I. Bayzakova.

In 2008-2010 years she was the holder of the scholarship of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for outstanding scientists. In 2010 Bayzakova was awarded the title of "Best Teacher of KazNU". In 2006 and in 2010 she became the owner of the grant of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Best Teacher of the Year".

   
 

Klara Nadilbekovna Makasheva is one of the leading experts of the faculty, doctor of historical sciences, professor. She has been working at KazNU since 1979. 1998-2002 was the deputy dean of the faculty, the scientific secretary of the Dissertational Council for the protection of dissertations, the responsible secretary of “the Bulletin of KazNU. A series of international relations and international law”.

Scientific interests of K.N. Makasheva - the history of France, the process of European integration and the positions of European countries, integration processes in the world, the foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international organizations, political processes in the world. K.N. Makasheva is a co-author of textbooks for universities recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has about one hundred scientific publications, a member of the dissertational council.She took part in international congresses, conferences and seminars held in France, India, Turkey, and Russia. Under her scientific guidance, one doctor of philosophy (PhD), four candidates of science, more than ten undergraduates have been trained. "The Best Teacher of KazNU" (2008), "The Best Faculty Teacher"(2009), The Best Teacher of the University (2010). From 2009 to 2011 was the head of the department of regional studies and world economy of the Faculty of International Relations.

   
   

The holder of the "Best Teacher of the Year" grant for 2006 Kakeeva Fatima Turarovna, doctor of historical sciences, professor, is one of the highly qualified specialists working in higher education for more than 20 years. Professor F.T. Kukeeva laid the foundation for the American direction in Kazakhstan's science. Her scientific interests include history, the political system and US foreign policy. She is the author of a number of articles and two monographs on various aspects of transatlantic partnership, US geopolitics in the Central Asian region, the theory and practice of the United States foreign policy strategy, the role of America in international organizations. Kukeeva is an active participant in regional and international conferences on topical issues of international relations, holder of grants from the US State Department, Soros Foundation, Japanese Sasakawa Foundation, etc. She has publications both in domestic and foreign scientific publications. The first in the Republic and in Central Asia Resource Center for American and Democratic Studies (RCADI) at al-Farabi KazNU was created at the initiative of F.T. Kukeeva. Professor received a grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan For scientific achievements in 2008 - "An Outstanding Scientist".

   
   

The holder of the "The Best Teacher of the Year" grant for 2006 - Gubaidullina Mara Shaukatovna, the holder of the grant "The Best Teacher of the University" for 2011, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor graduated from the special department of the Kazan State University. Since 1982 - up to the present time she has worked in KazNU, during the teaching activity she passes his rich experience to students. Her scientific interests include international relations, integration processes in Europe, Central Asia, Germany's foreign policy and political processes in Kazakhstan. M.Sh. Gubaidullina has scientific recognition in the country and abroad, she actively supports broad relations with scientists and universities in Europe, USA, Japan, China, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey. Repeatedly passed scientific internships in foreign universities and research centers. She made a significant contribution to the development of modern studies of regional integration, foreign policy of the RK and the GFR. Scientific activity and experience of methodical work are reflected in numerous publications: monographs, articles, textbooks (about 200), she is a participant of many scientific and practical conferences in the republic and abroad. In 2006-2007 years she was a lecturer at OSCE training workshops in conjunction with the OSCE Center. She gave lectures before students of the University of Bundeswehr (Hamburg). "For a special contribution to the development of science" M.Sh. Gubaidullina received a grant from M. Wörner and a special diploma of German Defense Minister F.J. Ung in 2008. She prepared 6 candidates of science, a scientific consultant for two doctoral dissertations, PhD, one of which was in Germany.

   
   

Raushan Elemesovich Elemesov Doctor of Science, Economics, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a full member of the Collegiate School of the Academy of Science of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan. Since 1995 till September 2001, the professional activity of R. Elemesov has been connected with al-Farabi KazNU. Professor R. Elemesov was the Head of the Chair of World Economy till September 2001. In 2001-2005 R. Elemesov worked as the Dean of the Department of Economy and Business. Currently, R.Elemesov is the Professor of the Chair of Area Studies and World Economy at International Relations Department. R. Elemesov has over 150 publications. The research interests include the methodological issues of research in economics. 

   

 

The winner of the grant "The Best Teacher of the Year" for 2007 Utegenova Ayluna Rakhmetovna, Candidate of Historical Sciences. Utegenova A.R. is one of the talented graduates of the Faculty of International Relations. After completing the postgraduate studies in 2003, she remained to teach at the Faculty of International Relations. As a young and promising scientist she constantly improves her professional level. For example, in 2004 she attended a training course at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, in 2007 she trained at the Summer University of the Central European University in Budapest, took part in international seminars and conferences in the United States, India, Russia, Poland, Hungary, Germany, Norway. In 2008 A.R. Utegenova won the annual grant of the Japanese government to study at the University of Tsukuba (Japan) under the "Educational and Cultural Policy for the Central Asian Countries" program. Utegenova A.R. actively engaged in research work.
