8 Round table "The impact of the US-Chinese Trade War on Developing countries " 29.11.2018

On November 29, 2018, a roundtable titled "The impact of the US-Chinese Trade War on Developing countries" was organized by the International Relations Faculty's "Eastern Star Club", dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Star Club. The roundtable was organized by the head of the  Eastern Star Club Candidate of historical sciences, associate professor Balaubaeva B.M. and 4th year students of the specialty "Regional studies". The aim of the roundtable was to acquaint the students with the 10-year history of the Eastern Star Club, to deepen their knowledge of the peculiarities of economic relations between the United States and China, to enhance their ability to express their thoughts and speak. Participants discussed the impact of the trade war between the two countries on the economy of Kazakhstan by analyzing the influence of great powers like the United States and China on each other and the impact on the global economy. Abdykamal Azat, Amangeldy Ayzharkyn discussed “the US Position on Trade War between China and USA” , Kaliahmet Aksaule, Bagdauletkyzy Sagynysh, Zhumanbaeva Lyazzat on "China's Position on Trade War between US and China," Abet Enlik, Kishibaeva Shynar on “The impact of the US and China trade war on international economics” , Tokbazar Alisher, Shakyrgan Saya " The influence of the US-Chinese trade war on developing countries (on the example of Kazakhstan) ". At the end of the presentations, student of the 4th course Lesbayeva Bagdad made a quiz "Let's Think Out" and surprised the participants of the round table.
The guest of the round table Candidate of historical sciences, associate professor Nabizhan Mukmethanuly emphasized the high level of students' scientific thinking, emphasizing the peculiarities of the policies of the USA and China in the global economy. Highly appreciated the work of the speakers and answered the questions of the roundtable participants. At the end of the roundtable, the best speakers were identified and handed over certificates. The round table was held at a very high level and concluded with the final speech of the group leader Balaubaeva B.M.

"Romeo and Juliet" movie performance 07.12.2017

Center for Romani studies and "Talleyrand" Diplomatic Club organized the performance of iconic movie by F. Zeffirelli for students of international relations department

The quiz for students as well as a discussion of the picture was held after the performance.

The Dipmission Club held the round table at international relations department devoted to the theme «Role of NATO in modern world» in the framework of “Ainalandy nurlandyr” project on November 22, 2017. Chair teachers K. Bekov and A.R.Alipbayev answered to students' questions and shared their thoughts during the good discussion.

International round table "Kazakhstan's way to the antinuclear world"

UN Assistance Centre at the international relations department of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, International charitable public Fund “Poligon – 29 August”, which has roster consultative status at the Economic and Social Council of the UN, with the support of the mission of the UN Department of Public Information in Republic of Kazakhstan (Almaty) held an international round table devoted to theme “Kazakhstan’s way to the antinuclear world” on September 19, 2017.

The round table was devoted to the UN International day of peace and the UN International day for the comprehensive elimination of nuclear weapons as well as to the 26th anniversary of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to close the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site (SNTS).

Representatives of the Diplomatic corps, international organizations accredited in Kazakhstan, participants of the tests at SNTS, NGOs and the academic community took part in the work of the round table.
