Today, the department consists of two research laboratories. Lecturing staff consists of 1 professor, 4 associate professors and 6 lecturers, as well as of not full-time occupied lecturers (2 NAS RK academicians, 2 professors, 1 academician of RANS, 2 Institute directors). Currently, professor K.K. Shulembayeva, Dr., Z.G. Aytasheva, A.K. Bisenbaev, N.J. Omirbekova, B.A. Zhumabayeva, A.M. Kalimagambetov, senior lecturers, Ph.D. N.K. Bolegenova, A.I. Zhusupova, B.K. Kurmanov, teachers, c.b.s. N.A. Altybaeva, Z.K. Zhunisbayeva, Z.Z. Chunetova, S.B. Dauletbayeva and others work at the department. From the opening of the department more than 560 students have graduated. More than 70 successfully completed postgraduate studies at the department. Over 90 graduates have academic degrees of doctors and candidates of the biological sciences, and since 2008 - Ph.D. Many graduates are prominent scientists and science organizers, directors and heads of departments of research institutes, experimental and breeding stations, higher school teachers. Our graduates have earned high reputation for their work among the foreign experts (in the UK, Egypt, Israel, USA, France, Germany and other countries).
