Masters: preparing students under specialties: "Biology"- 6N0607; "Biotechnology"- 6N0701.

For the training of masters at the university and the faculty necessary laboratory research and methodological framework was created. Educational courses were created for the disciplines: “Scientific-research practice of master students of the department of genetics and molecular biology" and "Pedagogical practice of master students of the department of genetics and molecular biology". At the meetings of the department annual reports of master students are discussed, preliminary defense of their dissertations is hold.

Pedagogical practice of master students is conducted. Each year, the whole lecturing staff implements individual training of master students for lectures, practical and laboratory courses.

Within one or two years master students are engaged in scientific-research work. Bases to perform research are: laboratories of the Department, SRI of Issues in Biology and Biotechnology under the supervision of al-Farabi KazNU, Institute of Microbiology and Virology, Institute of Botany and Phytointroduction, Institute of Maternal and Child Health, Institute of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry named after M.A. Ajtkhozhin, Institute of Plant Physiology, Genetics and Bioengineering, Institute of General Genetics and Cytology, Institute of Oncology and Radiology, Institute for Human and Animal Physiology MES RK, JSC KazAgroInnovation, MA RK, Kazakh National Agricultural University of MES RK.
