Student maslihat is the executive self governing body of students of the faculty, which carries out its work guided by the principles of justice, freedom, equality, democracy and openness. The student maslihat of the Mathematics and Mechanics Department creates the notion of the importance of good education among freshmen, helping them adapt to new social conditions, helps to organize the educational process so that the youth lived the life, filled with creative deeds and vivid impressions.

Student Council is a public association of students of the faculty, student self-governing body. The Council consists of activists willing to do something useful for thier faculty, organize activities, solve problems which arise in the faculty dormitory where living students.

Student Scientific society (SSS) is a voluntary association of students who are actively engaged in research work. SSS assists students in their research and practical work making student life really interesting.

Student’s union "Sunkar" protects the rights and interests of students (in collaboration with the administra-tion)as to the terms of charging of social grants, providing material help from the scholarship fund, living in the dorm, economic and technical support of the educational process, etc., organizes as far as it’s possible, free legal consultation, assisting orphanages in Almaty, provides students with concessionary travel passes for public transport, free needs at the canteen and discounted vouchers in the SSC of al-Farabi KazNU..

Student construction group (SCG) is a voluntary association of students, intended to provide their assistance in the construction and repair work.
