Nowadays more than 100 teachers are working at the faculty; there are 4 academicians of NAS RK, 30 doctors of biology, professors and 85 candidates, associate professors among them. Scientists from various scientific research institutes and foreign experts from leading universities actively participate in training of teaching staff. Best bachelor, master and PhD students have opportunities to practice abroad. Council of young scientists actively participates in the organization of student's research.

Training of the specialists is carried out within the framework of three-stage education: bachelor studies - master studies - doctoral studies (Ph.D.).
Separate comfortable hostel designed for 316 places, located on the territory of campus, is under supervision of biological faculty. Students can spend their free time at a stadium, in the halls of the sport complex of the University, and also in the various activities of the Students Palace named after A. Dzholdasbekov.
