The success of the university is maintained due to socially active, creative and highly intellectual students. All conditions for the harmonized development of individuality, expansion of the horizons of students, formation of their high moral qualities realization of their individual abilities and intellectual potential are created in the university. Students spend their free time in amateur art unions in U.A. ZHoldasbekov students’ Palace – one of the most magnificent concert halls of Kazakhstan. KazNU students’ Palace is an original complex for up to 1620 places with a total square of 14 290 m2.
At the stage of the Palace various ceremonial, holiday and cultural events, concerts, Aytys-contests, the CMS (Club of the Merry and the Smart) take place. “Bakhyt” dance festival, “Biz” student drama theater are functioning in the Students’ Palace; they give the opportunity to young talents to show themselves on stage. These student unions which are very popular, have repeatedly achieved high results at republican contests and festivals.
