The structure of MM Research Institute includes:

• administrative apparatus;
• research laboratories.

Collegial body of the Institute is the Scientific and Technical Council (STC), which consists of the director and scientific secretary of the institute, heads of research departments. STС discusses actual problems of science and inner life of the institute, research work reports.

MM Research Institute brings together the intellectual forces of the scientific and industrial base of 10 faculties of Mechanics and Mathematics Department and consists of 7 laboratories:

• Laboratory of Mathematics problems
• Laboratory of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Modelling
• Laboratory of Mechanics
• Information Systems Laboratory
• control theory Laboratory
• Laboratory of computing technologies and the problems in the petroleum industry
• Student Laboratory of Information Technologies and Design
