During the meeting they discussed the development of the University in the higher education system and improvement of its competitiveness.

The Head of State noted that the University is one of the largest educational institutions, and its graduates work in all sectors of economy.

"Today the requirements to university students have become even higher.Your University, which celebrates its 80th anniversary this year, should be an example in training of skilled specialists and constantly enhance its competitiveness. Only in this case, the status of the institution will grow ", N.Nazarbayev said.


G.Mutanov also told about the current activities of the university and main tasks of entering the top 200 universities in the world.

Rector noted that the University intends to be the best in solving scientific and technological problems, and improving education quality.
