Academic internet center is established with the aim of providing the work of united telecommunications system of the university, implementation of Intranet technologies in scientific, educational and managerial activities of the university.
The main tasks of the academic internet center are:
Formation of high informative culture as well as provision of support and coordination of usage of informational technologies at the university;
Provision of an access of users to the informational internet resources;
Provision of users with additional technical informational services;
Organization and conduction of training of working with internet resources for university users;
Formation of social informational network for university students;
Development and realization of informational security policy and protection of informational resources of the Center;
Provision of functioning of local informative-computative networks of the Center;
Provision of qualitative functioning of Intranet system and organization of its support and fulfillment with electronic educational resources;
Improvement of traditional and learning of new informational technologies, expansion of the assortment of informational service, increase of its quality level;
Designing and maintaining of the system of database servers, file-servers, mail servers, WEB servers, proxy servers, SQL-servers, assigned for educational aims;
Organization of system of engineering and technical maintenance and service of computer and communicational equipment and software of the university;
Creation of a united informational internet space and participation in the development, realization and maintenance of corporate projects, which form united informational space of the system of education.
The work of assignation of an access to informational internet resources for students, provision of students with additional informational service, formation of “Student life” social student network and portal, provision of functioning of local informational-computative networks of the Center, support and maintenance of student projects in provision of electronic and informational service .
