Scientific Research Institute (SRI) of the Problem of Ecology, the Center for Economic Research (CER) of the Higher School of Economics and Business and the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on September 18, 2015 was organized the International Round Table: "Green Economy –the innovative vector of development of modern science." The round table was translated in the on-line platform G-Global.

During the discussion about the mechanisms of transition to a green economy, scientists – economists, physicists, chemists, geographers, environmentalists – exchangedviews on priority areas of a "green" modernization of the traditional model of the national economy of Kazakhstan and its main trends and stages, as well as recommendations for the successful implementation of "green" reforms.

Thus, it has been the main goal of the round table - to work out priorities for the development of the green economy on the basis of an interdisciplinary scientific approach universities and research institutions in different countries.
