“Kazakhstan – Japanese intercultural dialogue” international forum was conducted

The students of Japanese division of Far Eastern Asian Studies at Faculty of Oriental Studies and the students of the Keio University held the International Forum at 9th September. The theme of the forum was “Kazakhstan – Japanese intercultural dialogue”.

In the opening ceremony, Prof. Jubatova Bayan (Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies) made speech. At first, the students of the two universities introduced each university. Secondly, the students of Keio University introduced Japanese cultures and their tour experience in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, and the students of both universities exchanged information. Thirdly, the students studying Japanese language in KazNU introduced Kazakhstan and Almaty for the students from Keio University, and again each other exchanged information.

The purpose of this forum is to dialogue between Japanese students and Kazakh students. We are sure that the students of the Japanese division had their motivation of studying Japanese be high through
this forum.
