KAZAKH STUDENTS OPENED JAPANESE PAGE of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University or new forms of career-oriented work of the Department of Korean studies and Japanese studies

In the period from 30 September to October 10, 2014 year Department of Korean studies and Japanese studies has carried out a number of vocational-guidance trips in Western Kazakhstan with the mission implementation plans within the framework of the project of the Japan Foundation. Schoolchildren (950 people) Aktobe, Aktau, Atyrau, had the opportunity to meet with the Japanese branch of the Department of Korean studies and Japanese studies, learn about the features and benefits of education at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, to get acquainted with the art of origami. More than 10 schools were visited by staff of the career-oriented, with the participation of professors from Japan. In Kazakh schools these days sounded Japanese speech, collected bids from 9-11 grade students wishing to enroll at the first University in the country. Thanks to the grant support of the Japan Foundation and the enthusiasm of the teaching staff of this project was successfully implemented.
