Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev received Askar Aituov, Developer Relations Coordinator for Google Developers & Google for Startups in Central Asia and Mongolia.

During the meeting, issues of improving the work of the “Google” student club and involving young people in Google competitions to increase their skills were discussed. Rector presented the guests the current progress in the development of the scientific infrastructure of KazNU and focused on effective startups developed by our students.

In turn, Askar Aituov thanked the rector of the university and voiced a number of proposals for the development of digital technologies. In particular, he proposed to open a Google laboratory in order to train high-quality IT specialists at KazNU.

The parties agreed to systematically implement the designated initiatives.
