KAZNU CELEBRATES THE ALUMNI DAY

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University celebrated the Alumni Day. The event started at the Mangilik El Arch, which was attended by representatives of different generations of graduates of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Flowers were laid at the monument of the thinker of the East Abu Nasr al-Farabi.

                            

This year, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has 8,190 graduates, 6,758 of which are bachelor's degree graduates. The University has become an absolute leader among the country's universities in terms of the number of study grants.

                         

                           

                            

                             

                             

Opening the event, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev congratulated all graduates and read a letter from the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, in which it was noted that "there is energy and a flame of youthful enthusiasm in the leading educational institution of the country. I wish that the continuity of generations in the educational institution, which is on a par with the best universities in the world, will never be interrupted. Let the "Alumni Day" be remembered and designed to educate the younger generation with a sense of patriotism and pride in their Alma Mater."

                              

                             

                              

Continuing his speech, the rector of the university stressed: "The main incentive for the development of the university is our graduates. Among them there are statesmen and public figures, prominent scientists, entrepreneurs, experienced diplomats, of whom the KazNU is proud."

                              

                             

                              

In addition, the Government decree approved the University Development Program for 2023-2026.

                               

During the event, a solemn ceremony of awarding the medal "Outstanding Graduate" took place. The title was awarded to Anatoly Didenko, Doctor of Law, Professor, member of the International Council at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, graduate of the Faculty of Law in 1967.

                               

                               

                              

Each graduate of 15 faculties, including foreign students, received scholarship in the amount of 150,000 tenge on behalf of the KazNU Alumni Association. The celebration continued with a concert program.
