A presentation of the course "Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During the event, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the KazNU and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by leading scientists of Kazakhstan and foreign countries, representatives of state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international and national experts, representatives of civil society, teaching staff and students.

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, welcoming the participants, emphasized the special role of the Constitutional Court in building a new Kazakhstan.

"Today we present two-volume course "Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan", which is published in the state language. It was prepared by a team of authors from leading scientists in the field of constitutional law under the guidance of Doctor of Law, Professor Kairat Mami, who headed the Constitutional Council of our state. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. This monograph is a theoretical analysis and scientific understanding of the activities of the highest bodies of state power and administration, the judicial system, the Constitutional Council and the Constitutional Court of the RK, local government bodies and the law enforcement system" the head of the university stressed.

The Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Elvira Azimova addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court Bakyt Nurmukhanov made a presentation on the activities of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The judge of the Constitutional Court Roman Podoprigora presented the report "Foreign Experience of the Constitutional Courts".

The academic course "Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was presented to the attention of those present by the ex–Chairman of the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Kairat Mami’s guest lecture was devoted to the activities of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, its place and importance in building the legal system of our state, protecting the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens.

The event was also attended by: Consul General of the French Republic Fabrice Neveu, Doctor of Law, Professor of the University of Lorraine Pierre Tiffin, Rector of the L. Gumilev Eurasian National University Yerlan Sydykov, Rector of the D.A. Kunaev Eurasian Law Academy Omirali Zhalairi, Christine Bouteiller Director of the Sorbonne Institute – Kazakhstan.

At the end, a solemn ceremony of signing a memorandum of understanding between the KazNU and the representatives of Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place.
