Cooperation with universities in Tajikistan will be strengthened

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with a delegation headed by Rector of Tajik National University Kobiljon Khushvakht. The parties discussed issues of further promising cooperation.



Welcoming the guests, Zhanseit Tuimebayev expressed readiness to develop partnerships with universities in Tajikistan. He also noted that he intends to support initiatives aimed at expanding fruitful cooperation and interaction.

"Today Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi cooperates with three higher educational institutions of Tajikistan. We plan to actively develop a partnership with the brotherly country. Recently a branch of the Kazakh National University opened in Turkey. Today within the walls of our university a forum of rectors of the Central Asian countries is held, in which you also participate. Tomorrow within the forum we will sign a memorandum of cooperation with the Tajik National University", Zhanseit Kanseituly said.


In turn, Kobiljon Khushvakht gave detailed information about the Tajik National University.

"Our university has 25 thousand students. We have 19 faculties, and 18 situation boards. In total, we offer 120 specialties. In 2021 we were ranked 241 in the QS World University Rankings. Today there are 41 universities in Tajikistan. In more than 30 of them the rectors are graduates of our higher education institution", said Kobiljon Khushvakht.



At the end of the meeting, the sides exchanged warm wishes and gifts.
