Within the walls of the country's leading university, the Chairman of the Board-Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with a delegation led by the rector of Istanbul University Zherrahpasa, Professor Nuri Aydin. During the meeting, the parties discussed vectors of cooperation in the field of the medical cluster.

During the meeting, the leadership of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University shared their experience in training personnel in the field of medicine. KazNU has 16 faculties, among which there is a medical faculty, which is consonant with the medical faculty of Jerrahpasa of Istanbul University. Also, on the basis of KazNU, a medical center is successfully functioning. The parties discussed issues of joint scientific and innovative developments in the field of biomedicine, expanding cooperation on academic mobility of students, teachers, researchers, as well as joint development of educational programs for undergraduates and doctoral students.

It is worth noting that today KazNU cooperates with more than 40 universities in Turkey, within the framework of which students, doctoral students and researchers undergo language and scientific internships every year. Since 2016, the Al-Farabi Eurasian Research Center at Istanbul University has been operating, which is a unique international platform for the implementation of joint research projects in the humanities, social and natural sciences.
