“Farabi Alemi”

In honor of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the largest International Scientific Conference of Students and young scientists “Farabi Alemi” was launched on 6 April at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Each year this scientific forum gathers more than 6,000 participants from all over Kazakhstan and the countries of near and far abroad.

This year, due to adverse epidemiological situation and quarantine measures the conference will take place remotely.

From 6 to 8 April 2021 in the framework of the conference 120 sections will operate at the faculties of Al-Farabi KazNU to report on theoretical, experimental and applied issues in various branches of science.

Traditionally, the “Al-Farabi KazNU Best young scientist” contest is also held during the “Farabi Alemi” conference. The purpose of the contest is to support students, young scientists and university employees, actively involved in scientific and innovation activities, as well as to promote their research achievements and integrate their R&D results into learning and business processes.

The decision of the expert commission of the Contest will identify 16 Top Young Scientists for each category: “Best Young Scientist in the Natural Sciences” and “Best Young Scientist in Social Sciences”.

The winners of the “Farabi Alemi” Conference and “Al-Farabi KazNU Best young scientist” Contest will be awarded rectors' honorary diplomas and monetary prizes.
