Under the memorandum signed between the al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Allameh Tabataba’i University of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the policy aimed at a respectable rank among the best universities in the world, the Department of Middle East and South Asia, Faculty of Oriental Studies organized a winter school on the theme "History of Central Asia: language and culture. Regional Studies" for students of Iranian university.

The winter school course is scheduled for this year and is now being implemented in an online format. The aim of the course is to provide foreign students with cognitive information about the history, language and culture of Central Asian peoples, including national values. Last year, Iranian students who mastered the basics of the Kazakh language are eager to learn our language and are interested in the history and culture of Kazakhstan. The Iranian students participating in the winter school courses have expressed interest in further visits to Kazakhstan, Al-Farabi National University in order to deepen their knowledge in this direction.
