Scientific journal of al-Farabi KazNU selected to the "Web of Science" international database

International Journal of Mathematics and Physics, published by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, has been accepted for indexing in Emerging Sources Citation Index of Web of Science Core Collection database (Clarivate Analytics).

International Journal of Mathematics and Physics, the Editor-in-chief of which is the rector of al-Farabi KazNU, academician G.M. Mutanov, is the fourth scientific journal of the University indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index. Therefore, the database already includes "International Journal of Biology and Chemistry", as well as jointly published with al-Farabi KazNU "Eurasian Chemico-Technolo-gical Journal" and “News of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Physical-mathematical series”

According to the policy of Clarivate Analytics, which manages the Web of Science databases, the selection of journals by the expert group for indexing in Emerging Sources Citation Index is an important step for inclusion in the main database, in which the impact factor index is assigned to the journal based on the citation of articles.

The inclusion of one more journal of University in an authoritative international database indexing the best scientific publications is another achievement of the Kazakhstani science leader.
