The remote format of education has made its corrections in the life of Al-Farabi KazNU, but it has not abolished the traditional holiday - the Day of Knowledge, which was celebrated at the Faculty of Journalism by the online meetings of students and teachers.

The meeting was opened by the Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Sagatbek Medeubek, who warmly greeted the freshmen. The Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Aigerim Alzhanova congratulated students and spoke about the peculiarities of the educational process organization this semester. She made a short excursion into the history of the oldest Faculty of the University, which is the same age as the University. Since 1934, the Faculty has been receiving future journalists. Within the walls of their native University, they take their first steps in the press and on the radio.

At the meeting they also spoke about our pride - the outstanding graduates who graduated from the University and created a chronicle of our modernity in the Media. Their names have been forever included in the golden fund of the University and the entire country.

Today, the Faculty of Journalism has many good innovations: teachers have mastered new platforms, and classes will be conducted in a convenient form for students. The orientation week for freshmen is very rich of events: there are a lot of meetings, new information that helps beginners not to get lost in the first semester, which is just necessary to support beginners. Freshmen will be taught the basics of working with Zoom, Moodle, MS Neams platforms. This will greatly facilitate their entry into the learning process. They will also get acquainted with the KazNU Student Regulations. The video about the University will visually present all aspects of the multifaceted life of the first University of the country. The activists prepared review lectures and presentations for new students. The senior students told about the peculiarities of studying at the Faculty, about the working circles, the main purpose of which is to reveal the talents for which the Faculty has always been famous.

Very soon even today's students will go to the editorial office of the mass media to write their own history of modernity.
