The second experience of online PhD thesis defense at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University within preventive measures to reduce the risk of spreading coronavirus.

On May 27-28, 2020, online thesis defenses were held at the Dissertation Council of the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Doctoral students Bekturganova M.S. and Kozhahmetova A.K. defended their theses entitled «Priorities and economic mechanisms of transitions to low-carbon development of Kazakhstan’s oil and gas industry» (specialty «6D050600 - Economics») and «Evaluation of high-tech project success in the Republic of Kazakhstan based on international standards of project management» (specialty «6D051800 - Project management») respectively, submitted for the award of degree Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

PhD students prepared mentioned dissertations at the Department of «Management» and Department of «Economics» in cooperation with the Institute of Economics of CS MES RK (Gylym Ordasy).

The Dissertation Council at the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi KazNU works on the group of specialties «6D050600-Economics», «6D051300 - World Economy», «6D051700 - Innovation Management», «6D090900 - Logistics», «6D051800 - Project Management», «6D051000 - State and Local Government» with the participation of foreign scientists.
