Dmitry Balandin, a student of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has won a Gold Medal at the open swimming championship in Atlanta (USA).

The competition started on December 4, where Kazakhstani swimmers Dmitry Balandin and Adilbek Musin, who is also a student of KazNU, took part in the competition.

According to news agencies, Dmitry Balandin finished first at a 100 meter breaststroke, leaving his rivals behind. His time was 59.36.
