On October 17-18, 2019, the Kazakhstani program of the IV International Festival of Documentary Films of the Turkic World will be held in Almaty. The event was organized by the Federation of Journalists of the Turkic World and Al-Farabi KazNU with the support of T. Zhurgenev Kazakh National Academy of Arts.

This year, the film festival is being held in the leading partner Universities of nine participating countries, its opening took place in early October in Istanbul (Turkey). It has great social and cultural significance for the Turkic countries. The best works from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Macedonia, Cyprus have been presented in the film festival. The films are devoted to relevant social, cultural, spiritual and socially significant topics, and the education of youth.

Menderes Demir, President of the Federation of Journalists of the Turkic World, and other foreign honored guests, as well as documentary filmmakers and authors of the films, representatives of the public and Mass Media, and the University students will participate in the event. At the opening of the film festival, a special award ceremony will be held for the legend of cinema, the famous actor and Director of the Turkic world, Asanali Ashimov.
