The Far East Department pays special attention to career guidance in schools. The main feature of career-guidance work is to help students consciously choose a profession, to form their own view of work activity among high school students, to teach them to evaluate their capabilities. Thanks to career-oriented work, graduates adequately form their professional plans.

In the secondary school number 95, a career-oriented lecture was held for high school students. During the lecture, students were given general information about the university, the Faculty of Oriental Studies and the Far East Department in particular. Especially listeners were interested in information about the opportunity to go to a foreign educational trip to the country of the studied language. During the lecture, high school students received information about Japan, the Japanese language and the culture of the Land of the Rising Sun. It was obvious that the students were most concerned about the question of what examinations they would have to pass if they chose KazNU and what would be the passing score for admission to the state educational grant this year. After the lecture, students showed interest to brochures with information about the Far East department.
