The Iranian Studies of the Middle East and South Asia Department at the Faculty of Oriental Studies organized a meeting with the General Consul of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan Bahodur Nazir on the theme “The unity of the People is the most valuable asset”. At the meeting, the General Consul emphasized that in accordance with the Law on the State Language adopted in Tajikistan in 2009, the Tajik language became the only official language of the country. Saidmurod Sharipov, President of the Tajik Society of Sociological Culture and Social Affairs in Kazakhstan, spoke about the friendship between the Kazakh and Tajik people and said that they are working to establish peace and harmony in the country, noting the importance of maintaining friendly relations between our people. After the speech of the General Consul, the Vice-President of the Tajik Society for Culture and Social Affairs "Somonion" Inoyatullohona Valiev delivered a speech. In his speech, he appreciated the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and noted that there are nine Tajik cultural centers in the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the dean of the faculty Paltore and Consul General Bakhodur Nazir discussed the need for student exchange between the two countries, as well as the need for joint cultural events of the consulate and the faculty. At the end of the meeting, students read poems in Persian.
