On December 14, 2018, the Department of customs, financial and environmental law of al-Farabi Kazakh National University summed up the results of the Republican contest of posters on the theme "Желтоқсан рухы - Тәуелсіздіктің туы" dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The competition was attended by student groups of the  al-Farabi Kazakh National University, I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu state University and the D. A. Kunaev Eurasian Academy of law. The winner of the competition was a poster of  law faculty group 206 of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, reflecting the content of the N.A. Nazarbayev article  "Seven faces of the Great steppe" and symbolizing the seven faces of independent Kazakhstan: the space and time of national history, horse culture, ancient metallurgy, animal style, Golden man, the cradle of the Turkic world, the great silk road and the home of apples and tulips. The second and third place were awarded to posters of I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu state University and D. A. Kunaev Eurasian Academy of law respectively.
