New Prospects for Cooperation

Vice-Rector of KazNU Askar Khikmetov held a meeting with representatives of the Malaysian consulting company «Amanie Advisors» and the Astana International Financial Center.

The event took place within the framework of cooperation between the AIFC and the University on the development of Islamic Finance and the work of the joint Research and Education Center of Islamic Finance and Financial Analytics.

The Vice-Rector spoke in detail about the international activities of the University and the KazNU’s achievements in the scientific and educational sphere. He highlighted that the training of highly qualified specialists for financial sector of the country is one of the University’s priorities. During the meeting, the parties exchanged information on the experience and prospects of work in the field of Islamic Finance and Banking.

The guests from Malaysia thanked the University leadership for the warm welcome and expressed their willingness to expand cooperation with the University and conduct trainings on Islamic Banking for students and teachers of Kazakhstan on the basis of KazNU. Ainul Azura, Chief Operating Officer of «Amanie Advisors», noting the high international position of KazNU, stressed that the fruitful interaction with the University opens up new opportunities for both Malaysian and Kazakh companies.
