KazNU teachers among the best

Samal Kadikova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of the Far East, undergoes an internship at the Japan Foundation, the Japanese Language Institute in Tokyo. Among eight winners-scholars from all countries of the world, the teacher of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University won the opportunity of the five-week program “Training Program for Teachers of the Japanese”.

Representing Kazakhstan, along with the winners from Russia, Mexico, Vietnam, Indonesia, the theory and methods of teaching Japanese were mastered under the guidance of leading professors. The project, presented to the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, was marked as “the most creative” among all those declared. The Japan Foundation once again recognizes the high quality of teaching in the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The Japan Foundation is a large government organization, founded in 1972. The fund is managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. The objectives of the organization are: the promotion of cultural exchange; promoting Japanese language instruction abroad; promotion of Japanese studies abroad and intellectual exchange. Thanks to the scholarship programs of the foundation, the level of Japanese studies at the Kazakh National University has increased significantly.
