From June 11 to June 15, the well-known oil and gas company «Total» will organize «Total Energy» Summer School on the basis of the «Geo-Energy» Research Center in Al-Farabi KazNU.

«Total Energy» Summer School will accept students of bachelor and master degrees, who study in the following disciplines: «Oil & Gas», «Petrochemical Industries», «Geology and Environment» – and associated to this sphere disciplines – «International Relations», «International Law», «Business and Management».

The main objective of «Total Energy» Summer School is to enhance theoretical knowledge and practical skills of students, and promote international educational cooperation between Kazakhstan and France in the sphere of science and education. Lectures are based on professional expertise, transmitted through practical case studies by experts from «Total» company.

«Geo-Energy» Center at KazNU was established in June 2010 with support of the Presidents of Kazakhstan and France. The Center serves as a bridge of partnership and a double diploma program between Universities of two friendly countries. Its main task is to form the scientific elite of Kazakhstan in the field of energy resources and sustainable development with participation of the higher education system of France. Throughout its existence, 80 master's students, 5 candidates of science have graduated from the Center and it has published 15 scientific papers, and 35 undergraduates are now at the stage of completing their studies and training internships.
