On April at the Chinese Studies Department of the Oriental Studies Faculty of al-Farabi KazNU the international trade company "枫叶国际级贸易有限公司" (“Maple leaf Ltd.”) conducted a lecture for the students of the Department on the subject "Employers' requirements for graduates of universities, the duties of students as employees."

The lecture was conducted by the representative of the Chinese company in Kazakhstan Zharkyn Asan.
The lecturer began with a brief summary about himself, he shared his personal career development experience with the Chinese international trading company.
Zharkyn Asan emphasized that at present it is not enough for students as future graduates of the Chinese Studies Department to speak languages and be translators, they should also be well informed about modern processes in the international market and be able to use this knowledge to conduct business. For example, when the issue of a shortage of dairy products in China was acute, the country's leadership was able to temporarily solve it with the help of powdered milk. However, soon, due to the poor quality of this product, they had to look for other ways to solve the problem. Thus, Kazakhstan's dairy raw materials have become very popular in the Chinese market. In addition, at the present time "green" (environmentally friendly) products of our country are equally as popular in China. Thus, knowing the Chinese language, the economic and market situation in the studied country (China), students have great potential as creative workers, and they have many opportunities to open their own business.
As a result of the lecture, the students realized that in the work of hiring, as well as in the conduct of their business, such skills as negotiation, analytics, and logistics are required, and knowledge of the language helps to significantly increase the competitiveness of future graduates of our department.
Theoretical knowledge, acquired in lessons and lectures from employers, is fixed in professional practices that students take during the training period. Thus, the students of the Chinese Studies Department can get important information from experienced people, make useful acquaintances, plan future career and learn to reach professional heights.
