Orientalists of al-Farabi KazNU will research rare manuscripts and books

The deputy director of the National Center for Manuscripts and Rare Books of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the city of Astana, Doctor of Philosophy Professor Abuov Amerkul Ergeshovich arrived with a special visit to the Faculty of Oriental Studies of al-Farabi KazNU. The purpose of the professor's business trip is to discuss and establish bilateral cooperation between the National Center for Manuscripts and Rare Books and specialists from the Faculty of Oriental Studies. The deputy director of the center met with the dean and the teaching staff of the faculty. The meeting discussed issues of publishing valuable materials related to the culture, history and language of the Kazakh people written in Arabic script, as well as the inclusion of teachers and specialists of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies in the scientific activities of the center. Also, the need for future joint scientific projects of the National Center for Manuscripts and Rare Books with the Faculty of Oriental Studies was voiced.
