Scientific-research internship at the Al-Farabi Eurasian Research Center

Al-Farabi Eurasian Research Center hosted 16 students of masters degree from Al-Farabi kazakh national university related to different faculties: Faculty of Oriental Studies, Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, Journalism Department.

Center organized 10 day course which includes both theoretical and practice sessions and sightseeing tours to enrich knowledge of students about Turkish culture and traditions and increase cultural understanding between Kazakh and Turkish people.

It must be mentioned that this center was created in 2016, in Istanbul University in the context of cooperation between two leading universities: Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Istanbul University. Totally since 2016, approximately 34 students from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University have participated in the training courses are organized by research center. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, for its part, opened courses for students of Istanbul University for the teaching of Kazak and Russian languages. So, how we see participation in long and short–term training seminars, educational, cultural programs and language courses provides many opportunities for bachelors, Masters and PhD students to develop their professional skills.

Thanks to fruitful cooperation between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Istanbul University academic staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students, young researches from both sides can take part in various joint training and educational programs and scientific projects within the framework of academic exchange. These measures in forecast will impact positively on improvement of the quality of researches; increase the competitiveness of education and the development of human capital and cultural understanding between Kazakh and Turkish people.

All carried out measures can be determined as an indicator of friendly and warm relations between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Istanbul University and Eurasian Research Center of Al-Farabi, and also shows that all parties are interested on development of human capital and cultural understanding between nations and each part making serious and comprehensive efforts to fully implementation of intended objectives within the framework of bilateral cooperation.
