Within the framework of realization of the program of modernization of public consciousness "Рухани жаңғыру" for students of 1-2 courses of the physical-technical faculty the Library named after al-Farabi hosted a training seminar on "Information and Library Literacy of Students".

During the seminar the students were acquainted with the resources of the site of the library http://elibrary.kaznu.kz and its capabilities, learned the basic principles of searching in the electronic catalog of IRBIS, as well as registration and work in electronic databases, EBSCO, "Polpred.com Эпиграф" , ЭБС IPRbooks and "Лань". During the training, the library staff trained students to search literature in an open reading room and work with electronic readers of books from the reading room, scanning and copying.
