"Рухани Жаңғыру" ("Spiritual Renewal"): The Alliance of universities of Almaty was created.

The Alliance of universities which brought together 38 universities was created in Almaty. The main goal of the Alliance is to focus teachers, researchers and students of higher educational institutions in the implementation of the program "Рухани Жаңғыру" ("Spiritual Renewal"). One of the main initiators of its creation became al-Farabi KazNU, where its first meeting was held.  

Representatives of universities and Almaty akimat, the scientific community and the expert community, youth organizations and media attended the meeting. The speaker noted that the Alliance will be the creative platform to promote the strategy as a dialogue platform for exchange of experiences and will contribute to the transformation of universities into drivers of spiritual upgrading.

"The mission of universities is an important fundamental component of the spiritual renewal of our society. It is the formation of not only skills, but also citizens of the country. The patriots, who will be the main conductors of the principles of modernization consciousness, competitiveness, openness, pragmatism, the preservation of the national code. We see a huge role of teachers and students in the program "Рухани Жаңғыру" ("Spiritual Renewal"), - noted Vice-rector of KazNU Sholpan Jamanbalayeva.

The Alliance aims to promote among students, values that are defined in the article "Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity”. It is primarily the cult of knowledge, competitiveness, pragmatism, openness of consciousness and others.

“Today in all the universities in the city work on "Рухани Жаңғыру" ("Spiritual Renewal")”. Each University has its own projects. Through the Alliance, we want to combine our efforts into a unified whole. We plan to implement city-wide projects in various areas," - said Vice-rector of Abai KazNPU Zhanatbek Shpekbayev.

In the near future the Alliance "University 38" plans to hold a series of events - first city of the forum, a scientific conference on the subject of sacred objects, internet projects on popularization of the Kazakh culture, etc.
