The round table «European Universities Experience of Interaction and Cooperation with Enterprises and Business» within the framework of the project Erasmus+ «Enhancement of higher education and corporate sectors integration in accordance with new social environment –ENINEDU» (2016-2019) took place in the Graduate School of Economics and Business. The participants of the project are two universities from the Republic of Kazakhstan – Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, L. Gumilyev Eurasian National University, three universities from Russia (Russian University of People’s Friendship, I. Turgenev Orel State University, Samara State University) and four European universities (University of Santiago de Compostela (Santiago de Compostela, Spain), University of Nice Sophia Antipolis (Nice, France), Athens University of Economics and business (Athens, Greece), University of Sopron (Sopron,Hugary)).

 It should be noted, that if this project Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is the coordinator of the consortium. It is expected to work out suggestions of development of interaction between universities and business environment, and their implementation will have influence on the system level within the project framework. It is supposed to open Center for Entrepreneurship and also to implement integrated electronic platform for Kazakhstan and Russia, based on the leading experience of European universities.

Issues of assistance and competences development of representatives of universities structural subdivisions on effective interaction with enterprises and business based on European universities experience were discussed on the round table.  

Speakers were the teachers  and PhD students of the Graduate School of economics and Business and Law Faculty, members of the research team of the project, who had internship in European universities – project partners in Novermber-December 2017.

Coordinator of the project, acting professor of “Information Systems” department Sholpan Dzhomartova in her welcoming word introduces to participants goals and tasks of the project.

Leader of the research team if Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Deputy Dean of Science, Innovations and International relations Zhanat Kazbekova covered main results of the working team activity for the first year of project realization. During the project work employers questioning and its analysis were conducted, and also research of legislation that regulates universities and corporate sector interaction, methods, ways and instruments of interaction in Kazakhstan and European countries.

The current professional structure between employers and universities was defined, EU experience in the area of business-universities system implementation in European countries was considered within the framework of the round table. Participants also discussed problem issues in legislation, education and entrepreneurship in the context of interaction between universities and enterprises and business based on the experience of EU countries. At the end of the meeting the suggestions of the necessary cooperation structure from the business side, which will be taken into account in proposals and measures development within the framework of project realization, and also recommendations on effective interaction with enterprises and business were worked out.
