Crown Prince of Malaysia at KazNU

The Chancellor of the University Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), the crown Prince of Perlis His Royal Highness Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin of Jamalullail visited KazNU.

Bilateral meeting with a representative delegation, which included more than forty people was held during a meeting of the rector with the participation of scientists, professors and student activists from the two universities.

The rector of Al- Farabi KazNU, academician Galym Mutanov, welcoming the honored guests and expressing his reverence, noted that the visit of tMalaysia University of Perlis delegation, with the participation of representatives of the Embassy of Malaysia gives a significant boost to the development of cooperation in education and science between Kazakhstan and Malaysia. It is known that Malaysia is one of the leaders of ASEAN and the country with a fast growing, dynamic economy, which is positively reflected in the development of education and science in the region of South-East Asia. According Galym Mutanov such conditions provide great opportunities for the development of mutually successful collaboration in the field of education, science and new technologies.

Rector informed the crown Prince and members of the delegation about activities of KazNU, its achievements, drew the guests ' attention on the fact that the University over a number of years successfully heads the Global hub program of UN "Academic impact" on sustainable development.

"We are ready to become a reliable partner to universities of Malaysia, particularly to Perlis University in training of highly qualified personnel. We are ready to develop cooperation in the areas of students and teachers mobility and exchange, joint scientific research and joint academic programs," – said the rector of KazNU.

During the meeting The Chancellor of the University Malaysia Perlis  thanked University administration for warm reception and expressed his admiration for the achievements of al-Farabi KazNU. He noted that the purpose of the visit is to establish strong relationships with al-Farabi KazNU which is  the flagship of education in Central Asia with the  aim of further fruitful cooperation with the University.

The attendees were shown a video about the University of Perlis, the Deputy Provost, Dr. Mohd Fo’ad Bin Sakdan introduced with the educational programs of the University, and the University representatives answered questions of teachers and students of KazNU. In conclusion, Galym Mutanov gave the Chancellor of the University Malaysia Perlis gold medal "al-Farabi", and then the parties signed a Memorandum of cooperation, which involves academic exchange, internships and research practices, joint research activities, development and implementation of educational and dual degree programs.

During their stay at KazNU, the guests got acquainted with the University campus, visited the library,  student service center "Keremet", center for situation management, museums.
