“Green bridge through generations”

In Chelyabinsk at the forum of rectors was signed the treaty establishing the consortium of universities of Russia and Kazakhstan “Green bridge through generations”.

Al-Farabi KazNU rector Galym Mutanov has informed about this media: "This is an important project associated with the creation of a "green economy", the main trend of development of modern society,"- noted G. Mutanov. "All universities of Russia and Kazakhstan aimed at the development of green technologies, training of highly qualified specialists, conduct scientific research.

The Treaty establishing the Consortium is a major step to unite in the efforts of the universities of two countries", - said G. Mutanov. From Kazakhstan the agreement was signed by al-Farabi KazNU and B. N. Yeltsin Ural Federal University from Russia. These universities will lead the Consortium on each side. "The basis of the contract - the initiatives of President of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev “Green bridge” the project was presented in Rio de Janeiro in 2012 by our University and received support by the UN. Through this project we became the hub of the UN on sustainable development, it was recommended by the UN for distribution among universities at the international level. The first step in the framework of the concluded agreement on the establishment of the Consortium will be the presentation to the end of the project in the headquarters of the UN," - said G. Mutanov.
