Japanese language summer school for high school students was organized by Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of the Far East. Students from Almaty city, Almaty region (Uzynagash village), Aktobe city, Shymkent city, Zambyl region (Kordai) participated in this program.

During that time participants have acquanted with Japanese culture, got general information about Japan and Japanese language. Also was held the quiz about Japan, Japanese language, Japanese culture in which students took an active part.

In order to introduce Japanese culture more closely Oinishi Yu, PhD, Japanese fund specialist, organized a master-class on making Japanese dish Onigiri and Japanese traditional Tea ceremony.

Ninomiya T., PhD, Tsukuba university professor, taught a class on Japanese writing, after which students were given time for practicing.

Students prepared presentations about their time as exchange students in Japan.

On top of that participants were given information about scholarships issued by KazNU partners-Japanese universities such as Waseda University, Tsukuba University, Hokkaido University, Saitama University, Tokyo University of Foreign Languages.

In the end all of participants were given certificates of participation in Summer school organized by KazNU Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of the Far East.
