Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a two-day international educational exhibition "International Education Fair 2017", organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Center of International Programs and Al-Farabi KazNU. One hundred foreign universities of the USA, Europe, CIS, more than 50 universities and educational agencies of Kazakhstan and Central Asia took part in it.

This exhibition has become an important international dialogue platform, contributing to the expansion of interstate cooperation in the field of science and educational processes, as well as increasing academic mobility among students. As told by Philip Semenov, program manager for the Information Center of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), today every Kazakhstani graduate, in accordance with all the requirements of the university, can be enrolled at any of the 380 higher education institutes in Germany and qualify for free education, as the government allocates special grants for Foreign students and scholarship programs. It is possible to study in Europe and in public universities in France, Austria and the |Czech Republic on a free basis. Furthermore, under the intergovernmental agreements Kazakhstani students now have an opportunity to get an education in bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees on grants from the governments of Hungary, China, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, Belarus, Ukraine. This year, as part of the international exhibition, 12 Kazakhstani universities signed memoranda on cooperation with foreign universities on academic mobility programs and double diplomas.  Double diploma education is one of the most important modern trends, which was offered by many foreign universities participating in the exhibition. 

It should be noted that the leading university of Kazakhstan - Al-Farabi KazNU successfully cooperates with many prestigious universities of the world on a double diploma, fulfilling educational programs in demanded specialties. Among them are Columbia University, Paris Diderot University, Univeraiti Tun Abdul Razak (Malaysia), M. Lomonosov MSU, MGIMO University, Osaka University, National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine (INPL), Hanyang University, (South Korea), Nancy-Université (France) and many others. 

Kazakhstani enrollees and students showed great interest in the exhibition and expressed sincere gratitude to its organizers for providing the opportunity to expand educational prospects and increase competitiveness. According to preliminary data, over 6 thousand people visited the exhibition in two days.
