On February 18^th, 2017 the Faculty of International Relations at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Program in Eurasian and Japanese Studies, University of Tsukuba, Japan in partnership with Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Japan held an international workshop on «Asian Powers, Central Asia and the New Silk Road: Views from Inside and Outside» with the participation of Kazakhstani researchers (Gubaidullina M., Baizakova K., Movkebayeva G., Kaukenov A. and others) and foreign experts (Hisao Komatsu, T. Dadabaev, Shioya Akifumi, Morena Skalamera and others) .

The official working languages of the workshop are English(presentations) and Russian(discussion)
