BIOGRAPHY

In 2006 graduated bachelor's program of al-Farabi Kazakh National University by a speciality the engineer-ecologist. In 2008, she graduated master's program of al-Farabi KazNU majoring in religious Studies.

Alzhanova N.K. since 2011 she has been working as a Lecturer, since 2013 as a Senior Lecturer, since 2016 as a Deputy Head of the Department for scientific and innovation activities and international cooperation, since 2017 Acting Associate Professor of the Department of religious and cultural studies, al-Farabi KazNU.

In 2016, defended doctoral thesis on the specialty "Cultural studies" on "Semiotic analysis of the communication culture of the Kazakhs" under the guidance of doctor of philosophical sciences, Professor, Department of religious and cultural studies Borbassova Karlygash Moldagalieva. Foreign consultant was PhD doctor, Professor of the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain, Madrid) Asuncion Lopez-Varela.

The total number of scientific works is more than 25, including 2 articles in the international scientific journal, having according to the information base of the company Scopus non-zero impact factor, 10 articles in scientific journals recommended by the Committee for control in education and science of the MES RK, 3 articles in scientific periodicals of foreign countries.

Nurlykhan Aljanova participated in XII International Conference on New Directions in the Humanities (Spain, Madrid, 2014), organized by Common Ground Publishing (USA, University of Illinois Research Park) with the report " Semiotic Analysis of the Traditional Culture of Kazakhs”, in the international conference “Intergenerational Transmission of Trauma in Post-Holocaust Writing” as part of the “31st International Conference on Psychology and Arts” http://conf.psyartjournal.com/2014/(Spain, G. Madrid, 2014), Complutense Summer school (Spain, Madrid, 2014), at Joint ESCAS-CESS Conference: Fifteenth Biennial Conference of the European Society for Central Asian Studies & Sixth Regional Conference of the Central Eurasian Studies Society (American University of Central Asia Central Asian Studies Institute, Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, 2017).

As part of the PhD program of doctoral studies Aljanova passed scientific internship at the Madrid Complutense University (Madrid, Spain) from 10.06.2014 to 08.08.2014 and 15.06.2015 g. to 15.08.2015.

During the last years she participated in the following research projects:

- "All KAZAKH IS ONE KAZAKH – religious cultural aspects". Project leader: Kulsarieva A. T., doctor of philosophy sciences, professor (2014).

- "The cultural model of the Kazakhstan's joining the top thirty developed countries: problems of integration and intercultural communication in a changing world". Project leader: Massalimova A. R., doctor of philosophical sciences, professor (2017).

From 23 to 25 November 2017 successfully passed the course modules “Foundation Module: Know your audience”, “Abstracts” British Council Researcher Connect. 19.04.2018 in the framework of the international project "The One Asia Community in Cross-Cultural Dialogue with Europe II" lectured on "Cultural features of Silk Road cities" in the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain). From 20 to 23 March, she participated as speaker in the international conference Asian Studies " Re-reading Southeast Asia: Multiperspective Approaches”, organized by the Autonomous University of Madrid with the report “Regionalism in the post-soviet space”.

Teaches in Kazakh, Russian and English languages.

SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS

  • Questions of religion, religious consciousness and education, religious education;
  • New religious movements, their role in the life of modern Kazakhstan society;
  • Aspects of religious communication, semiotic aspects of cultural communication of the Kazakh people;
  • Problems of theological and religious education in modern Kazakhstan.
