NEW KNOWLEDGE - NEW OPPORTUNITIES

State project "New Humanitarian Knowledge. 100 new textbooks in the Kazakh language "has expanded the horizons of knowledge of modern Kazakhstani students - now world scientific bestsellers in such areas as philosophy, psychology, sociology, culturology, religious studies, linguistics, journalism, economics and management are available in Kazakh. The first 18 books translated and published within the framework of the program "Ruhani zharyrou" have already been introduced into the educational process of the KazNU. Al-Farabi.

Six textbooks from the first eighteen were translated by the faculty of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi. Among them, and the textbook "Sociological Theories" by George Ritzer and Jeffrey Stepnitsky, introduced by the Department of Sociology and Social Work into the curriculum of educational, pedagogical, research, as well as production and pre-diploma practices. Head of the Department of Sociology and Social Work Gulmira Abdirayymova, one of the members of the authors' team of translators, notes the scale and timeliness of the launched project: "The project" 100 new textbooks in the Kazakh language "allows us to bring the training of our specialists to a new qualitative level, as the translated textbooks are included in educational programs leading foreign universities and repeatedly reprinted, which proves their relevance. We already use them in the educational process and see that they help develop non-standard thinking and open up new global knowledge. "

Work on the introduction of books is also going on at the Department of Philosophy - "A Brief History of Philosophy" by Derek Johnston is included in the curriculum of such courses as "Modern Social Philosophy", "Philosophy of Pragmatism", "Nietzsche and Postmodern Philosophy" for undergraduate and undergraduate students. World scientific literature, translated into the state language, is also actively used in economic specialties. For example, teachers of the Higher School of Economics and Business of KazNU use the textbook G.Menkyu and M.Taylor "Economics" in the teaching of disciplines "Fundamentals and Principles of Economics", "Economic Theory", "Microeconomics" and "Macroeconomics" for branches with Kazakh language training at all levels - from undergraduate to doctorate.

The translated textbook allows students to study economic theory in the context of macroeconomic trends in the development of the economy in the context of globalization. The examples given in the textbook allow you to better understand a rather complex material, and questions for self-control and cases fix the knowledge you have gained. For example, the doctoral candidate Ilyashov G.K. used material on the development of the real sector of the economy in the long run for writing a dissertation on the topic: "Self-employment in the modern economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan."

It should be noted that the process of introducing books into the educational process is not limited to changes in standard curricula and their application in the research work of students. Thus, the Department of Religious Studies and Culturology has developed a program of advanced training courses for teaching author's colleges of universities to develop and prepare lecture courses for the 2018 academic year within the framework of the project "New Humanitarian Knowledge. 100 new textbooks in the Kazakh language "with a view to acquaintance with the main subject area of the study of cultural anthropology. Also, a series of lectures in the Kazakh language, based on Alan Barnard's book "History and Theory of Anthropology" translated by members of the department, is being prepared for educational on-line channels.

The main target audience of the project is "New Humanitarian Knowledge. 100 new textbooks in the Kazakh language "are, first of all, Kazakhstani students. They note that the world textbooks open up new methodological and applied tools for solving problems. "The theme of my thesis:" The language of communication in social networks, "says Madina Jeksenbayeva, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science. - When choosing a topic, I was guided by its relevance, caused by a high degree of interest in social networks by young people. However, one of the main problems in writing the work was the lack of information on this topic in the Kazakh language. Textbook SG. Ter-Minasova's "Language and Intercultural Communication" can undoubtedly be called the basic for the development of my work, therefore its publication in the Kazakh language was marked for me, first of all, by a personal scientific breakthrough. So, I used in my work the method of drawing up cultural maps described in her book, revealing not the geographic or political features of countries, but their perception by other countries, based on cultural stereotypes. The application of this method gave my diploma work a high scientific and practical significance. "
