KazNU. al-Farabi until 2020 will lead the global hub of the UN program "Academic Influence". This decision was made following the results of successful university leadership in the field of sustainable development.

In New York, at the United Nations Headquarters, Ramu Damodaran, Director of the Department of Public Information, the head of the United Nations program "Academic Influence", handed over to the rector of KazNU. al-Farabi academician Galym Mutanov the corresponding certificate.

The work of KazNU, which heads the global hub since 2014, was highly appreciated at the UN. R.Damodran noted that the university effectively fulfills the mission entrusted to it, expressed great gratitude to the staff of the leading Kazakhstani university and deep appreciation for the contribution to solving global problems of mankind.

"The University, being an important partner of the United Nations and inspiring many international initiatives on sustainable development, actively involves the academic community in their implementation and demonstrates best practices in managing a world-class project. The decision to extend KazNU's powers until 2020 is natural and is a great achievement of Kazakhstan, meets the interests of the international community and demonstrates a high degree of trust from the UN, "Ramoud Damodaran emphasized.

The UN Program "Academic Influence" unites the world's universities to implement the ten principles for ensuring the development of human civilization.
