The Al-Farabi KazNU opened the Center for History and Culture of Azerbaijan, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani Democratic Republic and the 95th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Alirza oglu Aliyev.

Speaking with a report on the work and life of the poet and playwright, Academician Kamran Aliyev expressed the opinion that Huseyn Javid laid the foundation of the verse drama in Azerbaijani literature and managed to uplift the ideology of Turkism. Philosophical and historical tragedies in his work created a new stage in Azerbaijani drama. His work is compared with the works of Nizami, Fizuli.
