On June 13, 2017, the Department of Methodical Work and Educational Technologies organized a teleconference with the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), which together with the Eurasian Economic Commission are working on creating and implementing models of interaction with the expert communities of the EEA (Eurasian Economic Union) member states. Online meeting was attended by teaching staff from the faculty of international relations, faculty of journalism, faculty of history and archeology, faculty of philosophy and political science.

During the conference were widely discussed questions about the content of the educational and methodical complex "EEA: the space of economic integration", its inclusion in the curriculums and further cooperation of the Al-Farabi KazNU and RIAC.

On may 24th in Moscow, Al-Farabi KazNU. as a participant in the Consortium of the CIS Networking University (CIS NU) took part in an international seminar, which was a meeting of the CIS Council of Coordination with representatives of 28 universities-members of CIS NU from 9 CIS countries and representatives of authorities and departments of the Russian Federation.
