The purpose of the master's program is to train specialists demand in organizational and production and innovation-technological cycles of work in the field of land and property relations reform; system of land and property management; maintaining the real estate cadastre at all administrative levels and ensuring the rational use and protection of land; accounting, cadastral valuation and registration of real estate; topographic and geodetic and cartographic support of cadastre management; positioning of real estate, cadastral surveys, the formation of cadastral information systems; land surveying and the formation of other real estate; law enforcement activities to establish ownership and control (supervision) over the use of land and other real estate; inventory of real estate; monitoring of land and other real estate; taxation of real estate; realtor, valuation and consulting activities in the sphere of land and property complex; development and implementation of investment projects.

General / Specialist Focus

Particular emphasis in training is on cadastral evaluation, cadastral system, real estate cadastre,using geoinformation systems and Remote sensing, automation information land cadastre




Research orientation, with a strong component of communications and interpersonal skills in the own language. Special tracks are provided for future Land Cadastre, Geoinformation systems in   Cadastre.



Distinctive features

Master students may emphasize either urban development cadastre, cadastral evaluation work or engineering surveying services. An Erasmus, Tempus, GSMART University mobility experience is recommended, but not compulsory.



Employability & further education




Cadastral engineer can carry out their activities or as a sole trader or as an employee of various types of professional firms providing legal services or engaged in the sale of land, houses, apartments, as well as their construction, can work local executive bodies, in the center of public service, work as trainers and teachers in post-secondary, college and higher education institutions of agrarian profile; to conduct research and development, to perform design and survey works, scientific-organizational activities in various areas of land management and cadastre; carry out organizational and technological activity in the manufacturing, design and research establishments of the Committee on Land Resources Management, to carry out management activities.

Access to related third-cycle degree of program to Phd, to professional researching (education track).



Education style


Learning & Teaching Approaches

The general learning style is task-based learning. There are some lecture courses, accompanied by workshops and seminars. Most learning is in small groups (up to 5 persons) and emphasizes discussion, preparation of presentations autonomously and in small groups. In the final year about half time is dedicated to the final thesis, which is also presented and discussed with a discussion group of teachers and peers.


Assessment methods

Presentations: oral (power point) and written; examinations: oral for the conceptual parts; written for the basic cadastral   knowledge; master students keep a portfolio.

Geoinformation systems in Cadastre Track:

— the ability of monitoring studies of real estate on the basis of geoinformation technologies for the purposes of real estate cadastre and land management;

— ability to organize and carry out work on the processing of space images to create a volume of digital terrain models;

— ability to handle remote sensing data, creating three-dimensional models of the terrain and the individual objects using the hardware and software;
